The only thing more certain than death is that if a liberal accuses a conservative of doing something, you can be sure the liberal is doing it. For decades, conservatives have been portrayed as anti-environment knuckle-draggers that want to poison the planet because they care more about green money than a green earth. The new documentary, Planet of the Humans , produced by flaming liberal Michael Moore, provides ample evidence it's the left that's been raping planet earth all along. Conservatives have always argued that 'green' solutions like electric cars, windmills, and solar panels weren't solutions at all because of the damage inflicted to the environment and the cost involved in their production; much less their overall low energy output. Lo and behold, yet again conservative arguments are proven to be true. The Stuff of Life

Matthew 6:19-21   RSV From birth to death the majority of us toil on this earth, to do just what He tells us not to do in this scripture.  Madison Avenue is very good at their job of convincing us that we need stuff to be more beautiful, stuff to be hipper, stuff to organize our stuff, stuff to communicate better, stuff to cook better, stuff to relax better and of course, a bigger place to keep all our stuff.  Then we need the security system to protect our stuff, and the cleaning crew to clean our bigger places and all our stuff because we're too busy working to take care of all the stuff we have.   Many put the people in their lives second to their stuff. ...

THE BEGINNING OF WISDOM

I drove past a school the other day and noticed a sign which read, “Wisdom begins with Wonder”.  Well in a world chock full of knowledge, we could certainly use a little wisdom.  However, the Bible tells us that the ‘fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom’, not ‘wonder’.  Of course, scripture is too controversial to place on school sign, so they had to come up with something. An article I just read in my local paper tells us of a boy who dumped his father’s dead body along the side of the road seven years ago, telling no one his father had passed, so he could continue to collect his social security checks.  Seven years later, and neighbors and the boy’s mother suddenly became curious as to why they hadn’t seen the father.  They decided to alert police that something might be wrong.  Ya think?
